Algarve Solar Swimming Pool Heating – Mechanical Engineering
Algarve villa solar swimming pool heating survey in Santa Bárbara de Nexe, Algarve, Portugal.
In the coming months we will be be installing a solar swimming pool system to reduce the electricity bills.
Current actual spend (2016) 750 euros/month during the summer months and 400 euros/month during the winter months.

The hot tub will be heated by solar thermal panels as will the swimming pool.
A major contributor to the electricity cost being the swimming pool & hot tub. There is also an irrigation system at the property which runs for two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon, pumping well water. Some of the pumps draw 3 to 4 kilowatts per hour, this is also contributing to the high energy bills.
This post will be updated on a regular basis to show the investment together with bill comparisons to demonstrate the ongoing savings they will receive over the next 20 years for the solar heated swimming pool.
Addressing you’re energy consumption & costs makes financial sense. Instead of renting energy you should own it by installing solar swimming pool heating. Most swimming pools can be heated using only solar thermal panels, wherever they are situated. We believe that it is important to design our products so that they look good, they are very long lasting and require the minimal amount of maintenance. Quality is the foundation of our philosophy. We accordingly design systems using indirect heat exchange systems, high quality solar thermal panels that we build ourselves in Europe which we guarantee to perform for ten years. The panels are designed to have a life span of more than 35 years and are made from easily recyclable materials, such as aluminium, copper and glass.
